Small beer franchise Eolmaekdang has secured funding from a professional investment firm and an accelerator.

F&B-focused investment firm Star Asset Partners and accelerator Y&Archer jointly executed the investment through their co-managed fund, “K-Food Star SAP-YNA No.1 Private Equity Fund.” The investment amount was not disclosed.

Eolmaekdang is a company selected for the second cohort of the “K-FOOD STAR” incubation program operated by Star Asset Partners. Over several months, the company refined its business model and improved its financial structure. It was ultimately selected as one of the top-performing companies at the program’s final stage, the IR Demo Day, which led to this investment.

Eolmaekdang is a brand that combines its proprietary “Beer Chip” technology with a small beer concept. By standardizing processes such as beer glass cleaning methods and carbonation pressure control, the company has minimized quality inconsistencies across locations. It has also secured intellectual property rights related to its operational systems and know-how.

To enhance operational efficiency, the company introduced a no-fire kitchen system and simplified cooking processes. This allows a single operator to manage multiple menu items without requiring specialized staff, reducing training time and labor costs for franchisees.

The company also stated that it applies transparent settlement systems and royalty policies to promote mutual growth with its franchise partners.

Lee Hee-sung, CEO of Star Asset Partners, said, “Through the incubation program, we were able to verify Eolmaekdang’s store operation data. Beyond financial investment, we will continue our partnership across all aspects of the business, including governance, franchise models, and branding.”
